Hair transplantation is a high-precision surgery that harvests hair follicles from one part of the body and transplants them to another part of the body that is balding or already bald. It is a versatile procedure that can restore the eyebrows and eyelashes, resolve hair loss due to male or female alopecia, regrow beard hair, and revive hair growth in scars sustained from accidents and previous surgeries. For natural-looking results, hair follicles are removed and transplanted in their natural groupings, which mimics the original hair pattern.
Because hair transplants are taken from your existing hair, it may not be a suitable treatment if you have extensive hair thinning or balding throughout your scalp, are experiencing hair loss from medication or chemotherapy, have keloid scars on the areas where you want to restore hair growth, or are diagnosed with alopecia areata (an autoimmune disorder that attacks the hair follicles and stops hair growth).
